CARTA WELCOMES FOUR NEW MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS – 01.09.18 – The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) is pleased to welcome a quartet of members to its board of directors.

Charleston attorney Dwayne Green, Mount Pleasant Town Council members Jim Owens and Bob Brimmer, and North Charleston City Council member Virginia Jamison are now helping lead the system.“We’re pleased to welcome these four individuals, each of whom possesses a unique skill set and perspective that will help move our system forward,” said CARTA board chairman Mike Seekings.

Dwayne Green, Attorney at Law, Green Law Offices

Green grew up in the West Ashley area of Charleston and is a trial attorney with more than 20 years of experience. He was selected by the Charleston County Legislative Delegation to serve as a representative on the CARTA board.

Green’s previous community involvements include service on the City of Charleston Board of Architectural Review and the South Carolina Board of Probation, Pardons and Parole. He is also a past participant in the Liberty Fellowship and Leadership Charleston.
